Libertarianism is a worldwide movement in every country where people seek to promote their human rights: by pledging not to advocate initiation of force; and by developing and monitoring  voluntary alternatives of governance to replace coercive, and coercive government, programs.

LIO networks activists worldwide, with an advisory board including  senior Libertarian figures and rights activists .

POLITICAL RECOGNITIONS:

The LIO  welcomes rights  and enlightenment activists  of any political background. It is deeply interested in the spread of Liberal, Secular, Pluralist, and Federalist Democracy with strong bills of rights , transparency, direct democracy, and localism, and removal of laws hindering intentional community, co-operatives, and freer markets. In particular it encourages voluntary alternatives to replace all coercive government programs and policies such as government monopoloies or oligopolies, taxation, or restrictions on personal lifestyles in a common law jury environment (Libertarian Democracy Initiative) . Socially, it  also networks people interested in voluntary and diminishing cost advances in the the 1975 LIO SMILE AGENDA of Space Colonization, Machine Robots and Assistants, Independent Living Information with emphasis on realist-Aristotelian philosophies and self-empowerment from non-rational conformisms, Libertarian Community, and Extension of Life. While progressive, it is protective of conservative forms of living, such as religious communities, traditional households, and Native People rights. Libertarian conferences condign with this agenda include the Eris Conference and various Transhumanity initiatives.

However,  under a series of agreements hosts a committee process that acts as a federative networks not of parties, but their participants, and sets professional standards; that has received, notes, and promotes, definitions of status of Libertarian socio-political process and notes as co-operants participants Libertarian groups-- from traditional social anarchist to its own current LIO standard (available only to local parties or civic action groups) --that develop them. For reasons of differing laws in various countries it does not recognize political  party groups per se, but networks and recognizes members of those groups as automatic co-operants.

RESERVED NOTATION

LIO Standard Party: Use VOLUNTEER at left to get certified or get info on ongoing initiative for parties or civic organizations focused on LIO standard Libertarian implementation. Per an arrangment with the USLP the LIO Committee for Political Libertarianism is grandfathering most Libertarians in Public Office until 2012. Please provide list of your achievements. Only local parties are certified that are 2 year Club co-operants and meet the Generally Libertarian Requirements.

The LIO notes no party as Generally Libertarian unless it  is local or small nation (25 million is presumptive cut-off), and meets these (or allowed equivalent)
5 functional standards:
1) Has a pledge, separates supporters from pledgers, has a process of internal education and training,  and puts forth an array of Libertarian solutions with voluntarist emphasis or LIO standard, or caucus to do so. Liberal and Libertarian wings are fine.
2) 20% are ISIL Members, and /or plan of Libertarian-Liberal  dissemination to population  and/or saturation dissemination of Libertarian materials (preferred).
3) Has 1.5 Libertarians in adlective or elective public offices per 1 MM population, and a plan to put 30 in office per 1 MM.
4) Member or official plan for localism and/or direct democracy where indicated to directly implement Libertarianism

OTHER
Groups of Libertarian or traditional interest (use some voluntarist methods or grandfathered in), or Libertarian leaning parties without people in public office are automatically noted if we are made aware but are and not necessarily co-operants. If interested in Parties that welcome Libertarians and are of centrist  social orientation or that so advocate should consult the Democratic Alliance or other groups of interest.
Groups of social-anarchist and Green interest are at: Anarchist International and Global Greens.

Stricly non-political voluntarist communities  are encouraged and those interested should look to info on:
>  Intentional Community  and Co-Operatives , plus the increasingly popular Co-Housing  and Open/Participative Workplace models as a good starting point; >Non-punitive or rehabilitative and restorative communities/prison abolition for those unable to function.
>Our co-operants interested in Unions often look to Freelancer's Union as the next step over IWW as a model. All such groups may register with us at VOLUNTEER.

About LIO....

The Libertarian International Organization is a non-partisan network of information, organized as a commensal society and trust,  of encouragement for Libertarian and rights activists and cultural progress systems worldwide. It provides tools, and  monitors and represents Libertarian interests and initiatives  in international fora. It accepts no money, but its network of advisors and mentors provide guidance, emotional support, and key information. It is listed in reference sources such as Electionworld.

"The Libertarian International Organization is an assistance network for activists worldwide. LIO focuses on activist-to-activist communication, party and non-party growth, and acting as a catalyst to action. It welcomes applicants for its Board as contact/resource persons or observers. It seeks to provide timely and correct information on the worldwide Libertarian Community"--Advocates for Self-Government

"The mother human rights group."--V. Miller, International Society for Individual Liberty

"A key source for links and materials..."--Dr. J. Lark III, LIO Advisor, USLP former Chair

LIO volunteers mentor and help Libertarian groups grow through a variety of free training, management improvement, website and other initiatives.

The LIO is successor organization to an advisory and honorific set of boards for the promotion of secular freeholder (or Libertarian) communities and general cultural advance on behalf of the Iberian De Lemos clan to the assistance of the rights of all. It became the Libertarian League in the 1700's when adherents provided material help to the American and French Revolution and the later creation of the Liberal Spanish Constitution. In the last two centuries participants have worked on projects as varied as an international charter of rights to life extension to the spread of regular bathing.

It was restructured as the LIO in 1979 to network key persons and so provide moral support and catalysis to champions of progress and rights leadership. It accepts no money, all are volunteers, but participants have established a variety of public and private projects and initiatives to provide needed tools and new perspectives, and clear the way for the average person to act.
